Role and Responsibilities:
As an entry-level Waste Management Facility Cleaner, you maintain cleanliness, environmental compliance, and safety standards across our recycling plants and transfer station facilities.
- Operate industrial floor sweepers, pressure washers, and vacuum hoses across processing bays
- Clear debris accumulation around waste hoppers, conveyor belts, and vehicle tipping pads
- Sanitize waste containers, shop work bays, breakrooms, and common employee areas
- Dispose of discarded packaging waste and maintain clean walkways to prevent slips and falls
- Store cleaning chemicals safely in accordance with SDS guidelines and facility safety rules
- Wear mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses and steel-toe boots
Required Skills and Experience:
- Ability to perform physical cleaning labor, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs
- Comfort working in industrial plant environments with elevated dust and noise levels
